Little silver darlings

These hanging herring are individually strung and hung as a cluster. Each is hand modelled and scale detail added. Hanging herring were once a staple food and were hung to dry after catching, hence their affectionate name "silver darlings".

Each fish in this cluster of five measures approx. 22cm long.

They are fine to hang in a kitchen or bathroom.
